Prints from the American Middle is a survey of contemporary printmaking showcasing the work of 23 individual artists from the northern middle portion of the United States of America.
This exhibition provides a sampling of the outstanding prints being generated within the vibrant arts ecosystem that exists in and around the “Twin Cities” of Minneapolis and St. Paul; a major metropolitan area in Minnesota, USA. The assembled work includes lithography, screenprinting, intaglio, relief, and monotype along with numerous other artistic processes and materials. The unifying elements of the featured work are diversity and excellence. The background of the artists, their approach to making, their visual vocabulary, and their message is wonderfully varied. Prints from the American Middle presents a magnificent medley of imagery, technique, and style.
